Panchatantra Tales, is a collection of ancient Indian fables that originated in the 3rd century BCE. The term "Panchatantra" translates to "Five Treatises" or "Five Principles" in Sanskrit.
The Panchatantra consists of a series of interrelated animal stories, often with moral and philosophical themes. The characters in these stories are anthropomorphic animals that behave and interact like humans, imparting wisdom and life lessons through their experiences.
The Panchatantra was traditionally attributed to a scholar named Vishnusharma, who composed the tales to impart moral values to the three young sons of a king. The stories cover a wide range of topics, including governance, friendship, love, war, politics, and human nature. They explore the complexities of life and provide practical wisdom on how to navigate various situations.
The fables in the Panchatantra often revolve around the themes of wit, intelligence, and cleverness. They teach valuable lessons about moral conduct, decision-making, and the consequences of one's actions. The tales are crafted in a way that engages and entertains readers while simultaneously educating them.
The Panchatantra has had a significant influence on literature and storytelling across the world. Its stories have been adapted, retold, and incorporated into various cultural traditions and literary works. The collection continues to be cherished for its timeless wisdom and enduring appeal to both children and adults.
I have been teaching since 2010. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. I started my teaching career in Varanasi. When I moved my family back to Gaya, I went to work in Krish Play School. As my family grew and we moved into Gaya I moved to Krish Play School. Before I was a teacher, I worked in the school as trainee. I truly love teaching and am excited about all the learning experiences each child has throughout the year!
